I love cheeseburgers, and gong on the keto diet, they were one of the hardest things to give up. Luckily with this Keto Smoky Cheeseburger Salad, I get my burger craving satisfied with none of the guilt. Super easy and delicious dinner, perfect for summertime or a busy weeknight.

One of the fastest to prepare on a busy night is this cheeseburger salad. This meal is not heavy to consume, and the greens are crisp and refreshing. If you love cheeseburgers, you’ll definitely love this salad version too!


 For the dressing:

Optional: Add mustard or minced onions, pickles or garlic to the sauce for your desired burger sauce flavor. 

Getting it done

1) Sear beef in a pan until brown. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 

*Optional: I added some diced onions and garlic to my mince/ground beef. It adds a ton of yummy flavor to your meat.

2) Chop your lettuce and tomatoes and place in a bowl.

3) Grate your cheese. You can use pre-shredded, but I don’t think it tastes as nice, plus they add cellulose (sawdust) to keep the cheese from sticking together, so I try to avoid it. 

4) Make your dressing. This is a keto twist (sugar-free ketchup) on your traditional burger sauce. I LOVE Stubb’s liquid smoke, but any liquid smoke is fine. You can also add mustard to the mix for an extra kick, if you like.

5) In a bowl, toss lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar, and cooked hamburger/mince. Drizzle with burger sauce dressing and enjoy!
