Cloud Eggs Recipe for Keto Diet
Sometimes, it’s not all about complexity, but it’s the simple things. Choosing simple ingredients can give you great results if you just change the way you cook it. This beautiful, soft and delicious cloud eggs recipe is a great choice for energizing and filling breakfast that is totally customizable and adorable.

Cloud Eggs are one of the trendiest (and cutest) breakfasts on Instagram, but did you know the recipe is centuries old? Cloud eggs were originally developed in France, and were called called Oeufs a la Neige, or Eggs in Snow. These fluffy and keto-friendly eggs are a show-stopping breakfast that are actually ridiculously easy to make.
This recipe (and nutritional info) is for one serving of two eggs. To make more, simply add more eggs and ingredients! This is another one of those recipes you can play around with and customize.
I’ve made them Denver omelette style with ham, green bell pepper and onions, which was delish! Another go-to is southwestern style with chorizo, garlic & peppers. The possibilities are endless!
Getting it done
Preheat the oven to 390F. Carefully separate the yolks from the whites and set aside.
Whip the whites in a bowl and season with black pepper and salt. Mix with a mixer until fluffy and stiff.
Place a parchment paper on a baking dish and separate the egg whites into equal parts. In each “cloud” , make a small hole where you will carefully add the yolks after the initial egg white bake.
Bake whites for 4 minutes, then add the yolks to each hole. For whites should be set and the yolk still a bit runny in the middle bake for another 4 minutes. Bake for another 5-6 minutes if you prefer a fully cooked yolk. (I like mine a bit runny, 8 minutes total is usually the sweet spot.)
Serve topped with chopped bacon, bell pepper, green onions, slices of tomatoes and cucumber (or any toppings you love!)

Many of the cloud egg recipes call for adding cheese to the cloud eggs. Anything from parmesan cheese beat directly in the egg whites, to cheddar sprinkled on top.
Cheese and eggs are a match made in heaven, and both keto heroes! Feel free to cheese up your fluffy cloud eggs, just adjust the macros, if you’re counting.
